Madelyn Heart is a seasoned professional currently leading the Biotech Community at Pillar VC in Boston. Her journey includes over three years at Opentrons Labworks Inc., where she held multiple roles, including Community Manager and Strategic Customer Success Manager.

A Bates College alumnus, Madelyn majored in Biology/Biological Sciences with a focus on public health and environmental studies. She completed a significant thesis on the impact of climate change on disease vectors and human health.

Beyond her professional life, Madelyn has demonstrated a commitment to community service. She worked as a Peer Mentor at Bates College and contributed to projects addressing food insecurity among Somali youth populations. She also spent time fostering self-confidence in at-risk girls and helped local students navigate the college admission process.

As the Head of Biotech Community at Pillar VC, Madelyn continues to combine her passion for biotechnology, AI, and community building, making her an invaluable contributor to the field.
