What do I do if my relationship with a board member isn't working out?

Pillar VC’s Founding Partner Jamie Goldstein suggests sitting down with a board member that you feel is not appropriate for the company anymore and having that discussion. Let them know that the company has evolved and you are thinking there might be a different skillset that is more appropriate for them. You as the CEO do not control the board and cannot ask them to leave, so it is more elegant if they choose to resign.
